Straw Flower - Step by Step tutorial

  • Take the full straw and cut in to equal pieces.





  • Cut the single piece again in to 2 pieces vertically.

  • Tie all the straw pieces in a thread using small hole needle. Leave thread and stop at the center itself. The 2 ends of the thread are needed for tying at the next step.

  • After collecting required stripes in the thread, we need to tie both ends of the thread.

  • We have to put knots tightly so that it will not unwind. Make small and big sizes flowers by cutting the length accordingly like below.

  • Prepare small and big flowers of your choices in different colors and sizes.

  • Re-arrange them in the pot and arrange them gracefully. Here, I have used the pepsi can and pasted newspaper and applied fabric paint.
  • Here is the final output :).

How to Stitch Children Gown in Step by Step tutorial

Cut the top, bottom and shoulder pieces.  Preparation of Shoulder piece  Stitch the corners at 1/4" with the reverse side. Similarly prepare 2 pieces. Flip the above ribbon with the help of lengthy needle, so that the right side will come out and inside will move in. Now, mark the center position of 2 shoulders by leaving 4" gap from outside. Double stitch the ribbons at the back side and fold the body piece, so that the ribbons will go inside. After joining the shoulder pieces with body piece, it will be look like this. Now, double stitch the bottom at 2 sides on the reverse side. Now, stitch the top and bottom pieces. For more frills in the bottom part, please add more inches to the hip part.
